Adarsh Thakur (DC13) Presented Research at ESREL 2026

Our PhD candidate Adarsh Ratan Thakur, together with co-authors Ivo Häring and Mirjam Fehling-Kaschek, presented their paper at the European Safety and Reliability Conference (ESREL 2026), held in Braga, Portugal.

The paper, “Towards Automated Markov Modeling and Simulation of Black-Box Systems” introduced a seven-step workflow for automated Markov modeling and simulation of black-box systems. The proposed methodology brings together existing approaches into a unified, iterative framework that supports model learning, state estimation, uncertainty assessment, and automated convergence.

The research addressed key challenges in modeling complex systems using operational data alone and provided a transparent and systematic approach for modeling partially observable systems under non-stationary conditions.

Congratulations to Adarsh and his co-authors on this successful presentation.
