I am Mannan Khan, Mechatronics & Control Engineer and I have completed Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea. With a background in Mechatronics, Control and Mechanical Engineering, my academic journey has equipped me with the necessary technical foundation and problem-solving skills to excel in multidisciplinary research that combines engineering, computer science, and AI based data-driven solutions.
I joined the FOURIER project as Doctoral Candidate 3 at Politecnico di Torino (Polito). My PhD project, Automated Data Collection for Progressive Collapse Analysis of Communities and infrastructures using UAVs resonates with my interest in UAV technologies and machine learning algorithms for real-world applications. Also, excites me the most, as it integrates my passion for AI, real-time data processing, and visualization with drones’ sci-fi technology. The position promises impactful research aimed at increasing the resilience and sustainability of infrastructures.
I chose FOURIER project because of interdisciplinary and international framework of the project, combined with the mentorship of experts and partner institutions, offers an ideal environment to achieve these aspirations while growing as a researcher and innovator.
